SCHOLARSHIPS, ACADEMIC SUPPORT, AND DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Beyond physical infrastructure, the Trust supports:
• Scholarship programs for deserving students
• Appointment of private teachers to address faculty shortages
• Construction of computer laboratories
• Establishment of computer rooms and digital learning facilities
These initiatives strengthen academic outcomes and digital literacy.
VIDYA POSHAK AWARD – TEACHER AND COMMUNITY RECOGNITION
The Heggunje Rajeeva Shetty Vidya Poshak Award was instituted to recognise retired teachers, social service contributors, and individuals dedicated to education and culture.
The award has been conferred for two consecutive years, reinforcing respect for educators and lifelong contributors to society.
In collaboration with IIT Madras Pravartak, the Trust supports large-scale digital education and counselling initiatives. The program currently reaches approximately 350 schools across India.
The 2024–25 phase, launched on 15 August 2024, focuses on online training, career counselling, and student well-being, with planned expansion to 150 high schools and PU colleges along the coastal belt.
It empowers young learners with knowledge, exposure, and confidence to excel.
Recognising the importance of cultural preservation, the Trust has supported housing and welfare initiatives for Yakshagana artists, contributing to the sustainability of traditional art forms.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trust provided ventilators, oxygen generators, and medical equipment to hospitals and health facilities. Healthcare support continues as needed.
The Trust supports food security initiatives such as mid-day meals, Ganji Kendras, and Anna Dasoha Kendras, ensuring nutritional support for vulnerable populations.
Major Trust initiatives have been inaugurated and supported by senior public leaders, including representatives from the Government of Karnataka, elected officials, education authorities, and academic institutions. This engagement reinforces transparency, governance, and alignment with public policy objectives.
All CSR initiatives are designed for long-term social impact. Programs are evaluated based on sustainability, scalability, and community empowerment.
